For Jomi Thannikkary, Siegfried wasn’t just a workplace – it was the foundation that gave him the confidence to grow into leadership.
After spending 12 years at Siegfried, Jomi is now the Assistant Controller at Five Guys Enterprises, where he manages accounting and reporting for more than 600 company-owned stores across 28 states. He leads a team of nearly 20 professionals, overseeing everything from P&Ls to external audits with Deloitte.
“At Siegfried, I was constantly pushed outside of my comfort zone. Getting through those challenges gave me the confidence I still rely on today,” Jomi reflected.
Where experience became direction
Prior to Five Guys, Jomi worked on long-term projects at Siegfried, including a carve-out and a post-merger integration that lasted multiple years. Those projects allowed him to build deep relationships with clients and colleagues and gave him clarity about the kind of work he wanted – and didn’t want – to do.
He looks back fondly on Siegfried’s professional development trips, from Las Vegas to the Caribbean island of Nevis. “The experiences and the people I worked with at Siegfried were top notch. It was unlike anything else I’ve seen in my career.”

“On any Siegfried project, you’ll gain value – clarity, confidence, or skills that will serve you later,” explained Jomi. “Being tested in uncomfortable situations is what builds lasting confidence.”
