Samantha, a Manager in New Jersey, was deployed to a high-growth AI safety and research company the year they began generating revenue. She supported the revenue, month-end, and AR processes on a small team with limited bandwidth for improvement initiatives. As the client’s growth accelerated in a fast-paced environment, Samantha used AI to create clarity and free up her team’s time for more strategic initiatives – assisting with several data aggregation and system implementation projects.
One impactful project involved embedding Google BigQuery when the client faced data volume issues. Their data was having trouble flowing between four disparate ERP, billing, tax, and usage-based pricing platforms, which resulted in missing information, or conversely, data overload. By leveraging Google BigQuery – an AI platform that utilizes SQL to compile large amounts of information from diverse systems – the team began pulling reliable insights in seconds, rather than in minutes or hours.

They also implemented a new AI tool, Hex, for aggregating data, and Samantha participated in user acceptance testing (UAT) using SQL. She utilized Generative AI to build the queries that she needed to test the Hex platform, rather than having to ask the data finance team for SQL help, which saved time and allowed for smoother UAT and implementation.
“I’ve seen efficiencies and enhanced productivity developed from using AI,” Samantha reflected. “But it’s important to note that your end result is dependent on the information you feed into AI tools and the manner in which you prompt Generative AI.”

Just as Samantha ensured that the data flowing into the client’s AI systems was optimal, she adopted Geoff Woods’ specific AI prompting method from Siegfried’s May 2025 MY Journey® event to leverage Generative AI as a thought partner. For example, when a high-level corporate accounting professional asked Samantha’s team to analyze billing platform fees as they’ve grown with the company, she used Geoff Woods’ prompting method to help her create a template for that analysis.
“When you utilize AI effectively as a thought partner and focus on areas of improvement, it will create the space for clients to focus on higher-level tasks and for Siegfried professionals to add lasting value,” said Samantha. “I’ve been in roles where my teams can’t take a breath of fresh air to consider more strategic initiatives that elevate processes, productivity, and efficiency.
