Alumni Spotlight: Andre Bodiford – A lasting relationship

Not everyone takes a straight path in the pursuit of their dreams – and for Andre Bodiford, that’s part of what makes his professional journey so compelling. 

Today, he’s a full-time realtor licensed in Delaware and Pennsylvania, helping clients navigate complex real estate deals in one of life’s biggest decisions. Before real estate, Andre built his career in the finance world, providing trusted financial services for dynamic companies at Siegfried and leading financial operations for high-profile organizations. 

Andre’s journey from corporate finance to closing real estate deals wasn’t linear. And he credits much of the experience, confidence, and clarity that he needed to pursue his passion for real estate to his time at Siegfried.  

“Siegfried was the most impactful professional experience of my life,” reflected Andre. “I learned how to walk into unfamiliar environments, figure things out fast, and add value from day one. That mindset still drives how I approach every opportunity.” 

Sparking transformation 

Siegfried’s leadership advisory focus taught Andre to reflect on the roles and dreams that are most fulfilling to him. Further, interacting with the Firm’s MY Journey® program instilled within him the courage to enact meaningful change. He carried these exercises with him and leveraged them when real estate began moving his life in a completely new direction. 

Andre discovered his passion for real estate when working as a luxury specialist for high-profile clients, helping a CEO evaluate and oversee a portfolio of premier properties in Los Angeles and Wyoming. The dynamic pace, the constant problem-solving, and the tangible impact of this work ignited his love for the industry. “I felt energized by real estate in a way that I hadn’t felt before,” said Andre. 

After relocating back east, he used the opportunity to reflect on his next chapter. He determined that real estate was what truly sparked his ambition and would lead to meaningful success in the long-term. So, he followed that energy. 

Andre’s move into real estate proved to be a risk worth taking. He made the change, got licensed, and hasn’t looked back – except to reflect upon and apply the lessons learned from his time at Siegfried. 

“Real estate gives me a creative outlet. It’s personal, fast-moving, and incredibly rewarding,” shared Andre. “I still use everything I learned at Siegfried – just in a totally different context.” 

Lifelong lessons 

One of Andre’s most formative moments happened during a Siegfried engagement with a supplier of industrial, medical, and specialty gases. He had just one week of overlap with the outgoing manager before stepping into a highly technical, fast-paced role around GL accounting and reconciliations. It was a sink-or-swim situation, and at first, he struggled to stay afloat. 

But instead of giving up, he embodied the traits of a high-performing Siegfried professional and leaned in. 

“That experience taught me resilience, humility, and how to rise to a challenge, even when you’re outside your comfort zone. I’m still grateful for it.” 

Now, whether he’s helping first-time homebuyers or negotiating multi-million-dollar ranch deals, Andre brings that same mentality – show up prepared, stay calm under pressure, and deliver value with integrity. He also brings a deep understanding of the numbers, which helps his clients make smarter decisions with confidence. 

“I want people to feel confident in their decisions,” explained Andre. “Buying or selling a home is deeply personal – I’m here to help them through it, step by step.” 

Partnerships that go the distance 

At Siegfried, the relationships we build are meaningful and long-term, and Andre serves as proof. He’s still in touch with many colleagues from his Siegfried days, and he regularly draws inspiration from the leaders who left a mark on him. 

“I often think about how people like Rob Siegfried, Kevin Keegan, and Cindy Gee would approach a situation,” said Andre. “Their leadership and character ethic helped shape how I show up for my clients today.” 

Understanding the power of his time at Siegfried, Andre encouraged current professionals to explore everything that the Firm has to offer – from the interesting and challenging client work that shapes his approach to real estate transactions daily, to the MY Journey® exercises that shifted his mindset and allowed him to follow his dreams.
